STMIK Royal Attends Coordination Meeting for Public Relations in the LLDIKTI Region 1 Environment

Medan, June 12, 2024 – STMIK Royal proudly participated in the Coordination Meeting for Public Relations in the LLDIKTI Region 1 Environment, held from June 11 to 12, 2024, at Hotel Emerald Garden, Medan. The event was attended by various higher education institutions under the auspices of LLDIKTI Region 1, aiming to strengthen networks and communication strategies among institutions.

The meeting, opened by the Head of LLDIKTI Region 1, featured several competent speakers in the field of public relations, including:

  1. Mrs. Amalia Meutia (Head of Public Relations, Protocol, and Promotion at the University of North Sumatra) who discussed Crisis Management in Higher Education with case studies on Plagiarism, Copyright, and Hate Speech
  2. Mr. Deddy Pranata (Founder of Kampung Digital) who spoke about Creative Public Relations/Social Media
  3. Mr. Ribut Priadi (Head of Public Relations at Muhammadiyah University of North Sumatra) who shared Success Stories of Private University Public Relations, focusing on the technical management of public relations activities (especially in AHD)
  4. Mrs. Nazriani Lubis (Head of Public Relations at UMN Al-Washliyah) who presented on the Success Stories of Private University Public Relations in the formation of public relations personnel and the legitimacy of public relations organizational structures at each private university

During the two-day event, participants had the opportunity to discuss challenges and opportunities in managing public communication in the digital era. Topics included the use of social media, content strategies, and evaluation of communication impact.

Mr. Abdul Karim Syahputra, M.Kom, as Head of Media & Information at STMIK Royal, actively engaged in discussions and shared experiences regarding the management of campus social media, including efforts to enhance visibility and build a positive institutional image. Through this participation, STMIK Royal hopes to implement best practices in public relations that can support the academic and non-academic goals of the campus.

By attending this Coordination Meeting for Public Relations, STMIK Royal demonstrates its commitment to improving the quality of public communication and strengthening collaboration with other institutions in the LLDIKTI Region 1 environment.
